Abstract
A residential power system comprising a small electric motor continuously powered by a minimal grid connection, mechanically coupled to a high-efficiency generator that produces the full electrical power requirements for a premises. The system draws minimal power from the electrical grid (typically 500-1000 watts) to maintain motor operation, while the coupled generator produces significantly higher power output (5-15kW) at standard 60Hz frequency to supply all household electrical needs. This configuration provides near grid-independence while maintaining a minimal grid connection for motor operation.
Key Claims
- A residential power system comprising: a small electric motor powered by a minimal grid connection; a generator mechanically coupled to said motor; and a power conditioning system that converts generator output to standard household voltage and frequency.
- The system of claim 1, wherein the motor draws between 500-1000 watts from the grid while the generator produces 5-15kW of household power.
- The system of claim 1, wherein the generator output is conditioned to provide stable 60Hz AC power suitable for all standard household appliances and electrical systems.
- A method for residential power amplification comprising: continuously operating a small motor using minimal grid power; mechanically driving a generator with said motor; and supplying household electrical needs entirely from the generator output while maintaining only minimal grid connection for motor operation.
- The system of claim 1, further comprising automatic transfer switches that seamlessly switch the household load between grid power and generator power during system startup and shutdown sequences.
- • Massive Power Amplification: 1kW input generates 10kW+ output
- • Grid Resilience: Homes remain powered during grid fluctuations
- • Reduced Infrastructure Load: Grid only carries motor power, not full household load
- • Cost Efficiency: Dramatically reduced electricity costs for homeowners
- • Energy Security: Near-complete energy independence with minimal grid dependency
